Der Arbeiter - Profile

Der Arbeiter is the solo project of Juan A., chilean architect and musician, aided by Diego A. on live performances and Gloria on female vocals.

In musical terms, Der Arbeiter has developed an unique style which can be best described as Electro-Folk. An alchemical mix between acoustic elements, and electronic layers of percussion and atmospheric pads. The music is sensual and moody, with a slight mediterranean touch.

In conceptual terms, inspiration comes from a variety of sources, which range from the work of poets like Rainer Maria Rilke, Friedrich Hölderlin, Ezra Pound and Jorge Teillier; the writings of Friedrich Nietzsche and Ernst Jünger, and most of all, the inspired work of chilean writer Miguel Serrano.
